Roman Aminov, Esq. is an estate planning and elder law attorney with an office in Kew Garden Hills and Brooklyn, NY. Having been raised in Forest Hills and Jamaica Estates, Mr. Aminov is involved in the promulgation of civic and communal life in Queens through his long standing and continuous involvement in various non profit organizations. He is a regular columnist in the Chazaq Magazine and the Jewish Home, writing on estate planning and elder law topics. He has also been a guest lecturer for the Orthodox Union on estate planning. Mr. Aminov is also an adjunct professor in the paralegal department of Bramson-Ort, teaching a course in estate planning and estate administration.
Roman Aminov graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Real Estate Development from Baruch College and received his J.D. from St. Johns School of Law, where he focused on trusts and estates. He is licensed to practice in the courts of New York State and has been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2016.
Ms. Alicia Bartkowski is the firm’s senior associate with more than 16 years of experience. She is currently the managing attorney of the Real Estate Department, guiding and counseling both purchasers and sellers, through the closing process from intake through the day of Closing.
Alicia also has extensive experience in Surrogate’s work, and handles all of the firm’s complex estate Accountings as well as Wrongful Death Compromise proceedings. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Roman Aminov, Alicia was an associate handling Nursing Home Negligence litigation matters in Supreme Court, which led to extensive work in Surrogate’s Court as well. She has attended numerous court appearances and hearings throughout the Surrogate’s Courts in New York City, as well as Long Island.
Alicia was admitted to the New York State bar in 2005, receiving her JD from Hofstra University in 2004. She attended Loyola College where she graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in international business and Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in French.
Alicia resides in Oceanside, New York with her husband, a New York City Firefighter, and their two young sons. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and traveling.
